The chart below is a live read of the intel_jobs corpus. For each month, we count how many job descriptions reference the cloud-native geospatial stack (STAC, COG, GeoParquet, PMTiles, DuckDB, H3, Zarr, PostGIS) versus the legacy stack (ESRI / ArcGIS / QGIS). PostGIS is counted on the cloud-native side because it is the OSS bridge that anchors the modern object-storage stack.
Read alongside the government reports (BLS, EARSC, DSIT) — those quantify the workforce, this view shows the underlying technology shift driving where the workforce is heading.
