1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Geospatial Careers at geospatial.careers, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our platform.

Geospatial Careers is operated by Gerardo Ezequiel Martin Carreno, trading as Geospatial Careers, registered in England and Wales.

2. Account creation and eligibility

To create an account, you must:

1. Be at least 16 years of age if you are in the European Union, or at least 13 years of age elsewhere.
2. Provide accurate and complete registration information.
3. Maintain the security of your account credentials.
4. Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may sign in using email and password, or through OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn, GitHub). We reserve the right to refuse or terminate accounts at our discretion.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including fabricated CV content, fake job listings, or impersonated profiles).
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or platform systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without written permission.
• Interfere with the platform's operation, security, or performance.
• Use the AI career assistant to generate content that violates any law or infringes third-party rights.

4. Intellectual property

Your content: You retain all rights to the content you create on our platform, including CVs, cover letters, career profiles, and portfolio entries. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Our platform: The Geospatial Careers platform, including its design, code, brand, and AI models, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without written permission.

Licence to us: By uploading content to our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

5. AI-powered services

Our platform uses AI (powered by Google Gemini) to provide career advice, CV suggestions, and job matching. AI-generated content is provided as guidance and should not be treated as professional career advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before use.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Paid features are available through our Pro subscription, processed securely by Stripe.

• Subscription fees are charged monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Stripe's refund policies and applicable consumer protection laws.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice.
• UK consumers have a 14-day right to cancel a Pro subscription from the date of purchase, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@geospatial.careers.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geospatial Careers and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or career opportunities, arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Employment aggregator disclaimer

Geospatial Careers is a job aggregator and career intelligence service. We do not act as an employment agency or employment business as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973. Job listings displayed on this platform are sourced from third-party job boards, company career pages, and public APIs. We do not verify the accuracy of third-party job listings and are not responsible for the content of external postings.
